Situation
Ecuador, is a country of Latin America, surrounded by Peru
in the south and Colombia in north. Its surface is of 283 560 km2.
The name of the country comes from its position on the equator.
Located in, on both sides Andes cordillera South America
who crosses the country of north to the south, Ecuador is limited by Peru
(in the south and the east, along a border de1 420 km),
Colombia (in north, with a 590 km long border),
and the Pacific Ocean (in the west).
The Ecuadorian territory also includes/understands the Galápagos islands.
